Question!
I downloaded SC2.9.2 nonvoodoo and flashed this voodoo kernel over it. My Quadrant score is 1130. I know I have voodoo because I got the female voice. Everything works fine.
Should I have flashed the voodoo SC2.9.2 then this kernell or does it matter???

Doesnt matter just don't flash nv over v without disabling the lagfix first.

Theme issue

Sooooo apparently, after flashing the latest voodoo kernel, everyone I flash a theme, the phone never actually starts, just stays in an infinite loop of boot animation nonsense. What am I doing wrong?

Fascinate, kernel: 2.6.32.9, sc 2.9.2, eb01, ec01 radio, launcher pro premium.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but the way I did my install was to install sc2 9.2v first, boot, reboot into recovery and flash the new kernel.

Sc2.9.2v comes pre packaged with a voodoo kernel, I just chose to upgrade. ;)

And actually, I figured it out. Turns out in order to flash a theme, one has to clear dalvik, clear cache partition, AND reflash the base rom, in this case sc 2.9.2.

Wah wah.

Flash 2.9.2 then flash your kernel of choice. Superclean comes with a kernel so if you flash a kernel first it will be overwritten by the rom.

Yeah, its always best to clear cache, dalvik and not ro flash theme over theme.
