K9 mail REALLY slow (Thunderbolt)

Have used it on my original Droid and now on the Thunderbolt. Crashes frequently, runs really slow, just sucks.

Any answers, solutions, suggestions? I am doing imap email. Thanks

Last revision of K9 mail also very slow for me on Droid Bionic. Happened when they introduced the new message formatting features. Awful.

Have either of you tried to clear the app cache from K-9?
