Just want the newest update... What do I download?

I am having trouble finding the right thing to download to update my phone to the latest update.

I am rooted stock and want the latest update, what should I download?

OK, I installed this update, and everything was fine. But when I installed Drods kernel so I could overclock, all of a sudden I can't get any data connections except via WiFi.

I get a 3G notification and a whole bunch of bars, but no data connectivity at all. Pings fail, I can't connect to any server, no web connection, no e-mail, nothing.

SMS and phone calls work however.

Any ideas?

Is there a Kernel that would work better that anyone knows of?
