Just got an X

Hello!
I just got a Droid X and, so far, am loving it! There are a lot of settings I need to figure out, but most of it is pretty intuitive.

The one thing I am trying to find is how to turn off the alert for new gmail. I want the alerts for text messages. Last night, I was getting emails throughout the night and I kept being woken up by "DROID". I don't want to silence the phone at night because sometimes I get emergency calls, but I really don't need to know instantly when I receive an email.

If anyone can tell me that... I would really appreciate it!

Well i have a droid 2 but i believe the path for the X is (Menu>settings>accounts>your main gmail>account>menu>setting>uncheck email notifications). I hope this can help out some even though its a long path.

Or...an easier way...open gmail-menu-settings-unchecked notifications...its the same in all devices...
