I normaly get about a few dozen texts in a day. Today I didn't get any texts until I shut my droid down and turned it back on. Wala texts showed up. What could be causing this?

I normaly get about a few dozen texts in a day. Today I didn't get any texts until I shut my droid down and turned it back on. Wala texts showed up. What could be causing this?

Are you using any direct dial or direct text shortcuts? When I used these they caused the contact manager process to loop, burn the battery, and delay all text traffic until the phone was rebooted. Needless to say I haven't used them since.

My battery life has been pretty good. How do you make calls/texts if you don't use direct dial & direct text shortcuts?
