Issues with sports Alerts

I don't know if this is an impossible question to answer with the given information, but here is my question/problem:

I have the application SportsTap which is supposed to send you alerts for when your selected teams are playing. About 3 or 4 months ago, the alerts were working fine. Now, I get none. Yes, I have selected the correct alerts and settings within the app. Is there a known solution or is this just an effect of the Gingerbread update?

Welcome to Android Alert Hell. Today they work; tomorrow they don't.

You can try going into Manage Apps>Downloaded>SportsTap>Clear data. That would wipe the app's data and reset everything. Sometimes this can clear up problems.

If that doesn't work, you can also try Yahoo! Sportacular, which usually works well.
