Issues with SMS?

Lately my friend has been telling me that he hasn't been getting my long messages in their entirety. I realize there's a 160 character limit on texts, but I thought it just separated them. However my friend says he keeps not getting them. This has been going on for at least a month or so, and he has an iPhone 5. Has anyone else been having this issue?

Actually, I think it's a problem with iPhone's. The long msgs I send or receive from my iPhone peeps are always broken up, never in the right order and usually missing a portion. I never have this problem with my Android peeps.
