Issues with changing fonts

I have successfully used the Absolute System app to change fonts with every rom I have ever used but it won't work for me with MIUI 12.3.2 for some reason. Is this a known issue? I know flashing the gingerbread keyboard caused issues with changing themes, could this be related?
