Issues with auto caps

I have the settings checked properly, Anyone having issues with autocaps, It seems to work fine with emails but not work social networking Apps. I noticed this with native keyboard, Firekey and Swift application. Any thoughts?

I am learning that the autocaps trigger when you generate the "." symbol. It would be nice if we can just hold down the key instead.
