Okay, I like smart phones, but the droid is almost too smart. Here are the issues I have with saving contacts. I've searched around and these were the issues left unresolved.
1) when I click 'Add new contact' why does it ask me 'create under which account: gmail or youtube?' Why should i have to choose? I just want it saved to my phone. I don't recall them asking me this when I first got the phone.
2) when I assign a pic to a contact, once the list of contacts appears, it consists of every single person i've sent an email to from my gmail account. i'm assuming this is 'auto syncing contacts', but I don't want it to do that. I just want to choose from my phone list.
3) What exactly is Background data?
