Issue that is perplexing me. (Media and Droid X)

I apologize if this has been posted before, I haven't seen anything that explains my exact issue.

I updated to the new Gingerbread version on my Droid X. The phone plays media files fine, that is until I get a text message. After I receive a text, the media through the stock player doesn't work, nor through winamp, or GTunes. I have NO idea what could be causing this, and I hope someone can answer for me. Maybe I'll have to downgrade my OS, but I want that as a last resort.

New update.

It happens whenever a new notification comes in. I thought it was my Ringo Pro stopping it, so I removed it, but it's still doing the same thing.
