Ever since 2.1 sometimes when I use the home button it takes the homescreen a long time to load and then it has to load all of the apps. And widgets. I tryed going back to 2.0 but I still have this problem I notice it on all the roms I have tryed but overclocking seems to make the homescreen load faster I also have a loose headphone jack should I think about contacting verizon for a replacement

If you have a task killer remove it and see if that resolves the delay.

Try setting your cpu to a lower speed or use a different kernel.

Yes there are several low and ultra low voltage kernels. I think Chevy and P3Droid have developed.

I have the same issue on 2.2 ROMs using Tag Home... It's really obnoxious, I have tried everything short of eliminating all of the apps that I want to have running.

Have you tried removing Tag Home to see if that resolves the issue?
