Is there an app that....

...can toggle the settings of the defined screen timeout and always on. I know I can do this by going into the settings and changing it there, but this would be a shortcut.

I use Screebl, its possibly the best app I have. It doesnt give you widgets to screen timeout, but it knows when you are reading something on your phone or using it and will always leave the screen on. Its amazing, and free.

Such as in a car dock but not connected to external power?

Sweet, seems to be working just how I need it to. Thanks Lynx!

Not a problem, I found this app randomly a few weeks back and have been in love with it ever since!

Screebl is nice. I use Keep Screen however. It doesn't use the phone's orientation as a guide. You just select the apps you want to 'keep on' the screen for... runs silently in the background.
