is there a way to get hbo go to work with hdmi cable?

as the title says.... got my hdmi cable today and when trying it out i realized that you can't use it wit hbo go, which is one of the main reasons i got it in the first place. any way around this?

Can only use the HDMI for user generated content.

That sucks. It worked with Netflix so I figured there'd have to be a way.
