Is there a way to disable the regular texting

I can't get that thing to work... Idk what to do. Im going to converse it over with my good friend Mr. Camel Crush and try to puff out a solution.
Any other ideas guys?

I think its happening just because Im sending myself the message. Ill find out sometime today if thats why once people are awake and I can text them, haha. Thanks for the help guys and Ill keep you posted!

Does this work when using sms pop-up and missed call??? If I disable standard notifications will the sms pop-up and missed call apps still notify me of an incoming message??

If you use Google Voice keep in mind Handcent cannot sent with it. It can receive from it.

But when you reply it will be sending via your normal SMS and not Google Voice's Free one.

Thanks for tip just got gvoice going last night after invite.
I use gvoice for txting now though I will keep my 500 txt package for now.

No voip kinda sux though but I never even use up my 700 lol.
