Is there a way to assign individual text tones to contacts without a additional app

Is there a way to assign individual text tones to contacts on the droid incredible 2? I don't want to have to download Handcent or SMS Pro or what ever. Can I do this with the normal apps? I used to be able to do it on the droid 1. I am a volunteer firefighter and need to assign an annoying loud tone to the recall number til I get my pager and it needs to be different from my normal text tone.
