What happened to my Tapatalk hosted images? (Edit: it now appears, a couple of hours later)
The ad I am talking about is on frys.com today (5/25/2012), page 5, bottom right corner. http://www.frys.com/ads/page5
I emailed them for confirmation.
If they honor that price (and they should since they published that ad), I plan to get it today or tomorrow.
Sorry, but I ain't payin $200 for the Maxx.
Yes, the Maxx will become a free phone in time, just like the Bionic is right now.

"After $500 instant activation savings". That's got to be a Fry's thing only since Verizon never offers anywhere near that as a "activation discount", they just reduce the price instead. Also, I would bet it doesn't come with the 16GB MicroSD card. Maybe an 8GB, but probably none at all based on the price and discount. The phone sells retail from Verizon for $749.00.
Completely agreed. This is partially why I stuck with my iPhone for so long. I didn't mind only seeing a better improvement of my phone once a year, this was perfectly fine. It kept me from debating between upgrading or not, etc. I only sold it to get the DROID RAZR MAXX because I knew Motorola stated that they would slow down the rate of their phones this year. Last year this crap was terrible. I felt sorry for anyone getting an android phone as the following month would make it almost trash.

I never understood this type of reasoning...preferring to have dated technology and stagnated development just so you can feel better about your purchase.

Not once did I state I preferred to have an updated phone just to "feel better" about it. I do not mind not having the newest phone, as I previously stated (by being completely fine having an iPhone). However, I only stated my "partial" reason for sticking with the iPhone. The reason for my switch was due to me wanting a new change in phones, and because knowing that if I switched, there would be less # of phones coming out back to back as opposed to last year.
Early adopters in the smartphone market pay a higher price, not just financially. They also basically Beta Test the product (at their expense of time, money and frustration) for the manufacturer and carrier.
I want something that works at least as well as my DroidX, and that users are not complaining about.
After all, this is my Primary communication device, and I can't afford it messing up.
