Im on 2.2.1 froyo im told from the update I should be on stock 2.3.40 so is this 2.2 or 2.2.1 I think I deleted my stock 2.2 backup but I have my 2.2.1 backup. I seen at droid-life there is a rooted version for people running the leaks but i dont know about froyo users.

so far .596 is not rootable with any one click method. So if you want to keep root, don't take the ota. if you want root, Be on rooted stock and install the two part file from team black hat over at mydroidworld.
