Is it possible to use your droid as a webcam?

I was wondering if I could use my droid as a camera since it is much better than my web-cam. I want to do some recording with my phone but i want the audio and video synced up on my laptop. Also, I have only been able to take 30 second videos. Is there a reason for this? I have plenty of storage on my SD card. If this is 30 second recording feature is written into the OS is there a way to remove the limitation?
