iPod Headphones Issues

Hi All,

Got a free droid today (albeit an old one). It's the Motorola Droid 1.

Anyways, when I plus in my iPod headphones (the ones with a mic and volume buttons) and make a phone call there are several issues:

-I can hear people, but they cannot hear me
-all buttons on the headset first turn on mute and then immediately disconnect the call
-the phone alerts me constantly that i do not have a sd card installer (i ordered one today)

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't think the iphone headset is compatible with the software in the Droid.

Appreciate the reply mate. Figures they would make them incompatible.

Anyone else have any ideas?
