Now that we have root, has anyone tried installing the inverted gapps? If so, any issues so far?

I've only tried Google+ inverted, but it worked great for me before root.
Now if you mean integrated apps like talk or Gmail than I've got nothin.
Though now that we have root GTalk with video is highly recommended.
Quality is pretty good on 3g.

They are apps that have had their color inverted (I.e. instead of black text on white screen it is white text on black screen). Many gapps have been converted along with several other commonly used apps. Look in the theme section of the forum, there are several themers that specialize in inversions. I find them more pleasing to the eye, but others also clame they are better on battery life.

Basically, instead of a white background with black text, its a black background with white text.

Edit: posted at the same time

Yes and no. For a general app, say Google+ or Words With Friends, no, but for gapps (gmail, talk, etc.) yes. Gapps tend to reguire being able to replace the original in system/apps, which reguires the ability to gain root access either by ADB or an app like Root Explorer.

I would say that if you haven't done it before, I would wait until you see that we have an SBF available or a recovery system. As of right now there isn't much to do beyond freezing the bloatware. Even playing around with installing custom apps or changing theme elements can cause all kinds of problems if not done correctly. I'm still being very careful with how much I play around with the phone right now, which is killing me because I want it to look like my OG again :)
