Hi guys, I am Alto, and yes that is my real name. I got my Moto Droid 3 days ago and was directed here by Google when I searched to find out if anyone had attempted to obtain root access yet. I didn't think I would find much, but behold, you guys have been busy. I have already employed a couple of the mods found on this forum, and am off to search for more hacks/apps relevant to my interests.

Welcome! There have been tons of developments since root access was gained. You could try the latest rev of Android 2.1, or you can install many of the apps from 2.1 that set it apart from 2.0.1 as they have already been made available (Gallery, Music, App Drawer). I'm sure scrolling through the Hacks section will offer most of the information you need.
