international voice message app

Hi helpful forum people! Does anyone know of a cross platform voice message app that can be used between the U.S. and england? My boyfriend has an iphone (choke) and I obviously have a DROIDX. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Update: Although I didn't get any replies here I thought I would pass along what I found. YakYak is a well developed app that I found to work perfect for international messaging.
