Weird thing happening with my phone since yesterday afternoon.
When I get a call, my screen doesn't wake up. It rings and my watch recognizes it, but I have to manually awake my phone, go to the phone icon, and touch call in progress to see who's calling. I powered down my watch and called myself. Still didn't work. I cleared the cache and rebooted my phone, still nothing. I've cleared the cache on the phone app, as well.
Also, when my phone is awake, there is no visible indication that a call is coming in, only the ringtone.
No recent updates, no changes in settings, it just started out of the blue.
Any thoughts?

I would try it our in Safe Mode and have someone call you, or call yourself from another phone & see what happens. You stated that you already cleared the app cache & system cache & rebooted, so we can rule those out.

Well $#@&. At least that kind of rules out third party apps as the cause. Hmmmm.....

Frustrating.
I missed a call from my company's VP before I could figure out how to answer it this morning

Here is something to double check. Settings > Apps & Notification > 3 dot menu > Show System > Phone (the green circle icon not the blue one) > App Notification > make sure all are On.

I had one thing off. Turned it on thinking that was it. Switched it to on, but nope.
What is that setting? It's on now, but was off.
Frustrating.

WAIT!
@Sajo, mine looks different turned on. Yours says to allow stuff, mine doesn't. Mine says "No Sound" though I do hear my ringtone

Try turning all options to On, reboot the phone so all of those new options take effect and see what happens. That Incoming Calls option being Off is strange and may have been causing the issue, or part of it?

I'll check when i can. Changed it back to "off" like it was. At ER with my mom, so can't afford to have the phone at any more strange than it already is. Thanks @Sajo. I appreciate your help and will mess with it more soon.

That's definitely more important. Hope all works out well. All this phone stuff will still be here when Mom is better.

Thank you.
Trying to receive calls is a pain in the rear right now. This is horrible timing for my phone to flake out on me.
Hoping it cures itself over night. Hey, a girl can dream...

just ran across the following that could help, You may want to reset your settings and only your settings without losing everything else. Not all phones have the ability and really don't know if yours have it or not. but it is something to consider.

See if you can reset Android without losing data
1. Navigate to Settings, Backup and reset and then Reset settings.
2. If you have an option that says ‘Reset settings’ this is possibly where you can reset the phone without losing all your data. If the option just says ‘Reset phone’ you don’t have the option to save data.
3. Back up your device before tapping either of them, just in case.
