Importing contacts from micro sd to droid x help!

Hi,
I have all my contacts from my last phone backed up on a micro sd card. I put the card in my droid but I cant figure out how to import them...there are no options that I can see under contacts. Is there any way to do this or do I have to re-do all my contacts manually? I would appreciate any help. thanks!
(I also have the contacts info backed up on my computer)

There are two ways you can do this.

First using your computer log into your gmail account that you are using for your phone. Then click contacts, and upload your contacts to your gmail account. Enable sync (settings > accounts and sync > *@gmail.com > make sure contacts are allowed to sync) and give it a little time.

Or.... you can probably import them directly to the phone. Go to the contacts tab, press the menu button and click import/export.

The best way to do it is with the import/export button and then sync your contacts to gmail in your settings.

Remember, it's a Google phone so gmail is your backup.

importing them directly from the sd to the phone itself would be easiest...but i cant find an import/export option anywhere on the x...
