A leaked image of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus running a test version of Android 4.2.2 just popped up. Along with this image is some intel. Supposedly, this is a version of Android 4.2.2 that has been in testing on Nexus devices including the Nexus 4, 7 & 10 for some time now. The tipster also shared that the update is nearly ready and expects it to come sometime in mid-February. In fact, the rumor-monger also shared that the only detail that needs final fixing is a "stuttering" audio problem when using a Bluetooth headset with the Nexus 7.
That's a pretty detailed and well-thought-out fib if this is a fake. As you can see from the image, it certainly looks like 4.2.2 is alive and well on the device. Luckily, we only have to wait a few weeks to see if this rumor turns out to be true or false.
Of course, this is for the Google Nexus devices. There's no telling how long it will take for Verizon to finally catch up to this... :frown:
