If you HAD to only pick one car of your dreams...

I suppose this could be open to any vehicle, it's just usually a "dream car" for people.. ;)
No price range, no size limit, nothing. Anything you want, PICK ONE!

It's easy for me.. The car I had that I loved most (as far as fun to drive) was my 1999 Tin Can Death Trap (Miata), and it was what I consider to be "lightly modded".

Reason being the light weight. If you can't go fast on 90hp, 900 won't help you. (My favorite car quote)

So with that preface, I give you the epitome of nerd-core: The Caterham 7 Superlight R500 (Caterham Cars)

ever since i got into modding cars and just a general, overall enthusiast, i haven't found one specific car that would fullfill my "dreams".

i'd need a dedicated track car, a dedicated 1/4 mile, a dedicated "work" vehicle, a dedicated family commuter, a dedicated long-hauler and a semi to carry them all.

lol.

I agree with 640k that I would never be satisfied with just one car, but I had a large poster of Lamborghini Diablo when I was a kid. Even though its not the fastest or most beautiful IMO... I'd love a Diablo GT

Without question a 1950 Mercury. It would have to be chopped, shaved, frenched, etc., the works. Of course it would need to be lowered on bags.

i couldn't agree more.

Nice. That was my dads first car. It looked just like the one in the movie Cobra. Love that car...

i currently have one of my three dream cars.. my other two are the caterham in the OP and a datsun z car, preferably with the g nose mod and tack-on fender flares. yum.

or perhaps a rat...

edit: my current is a pre-facelift BMW 330ci. not an M model, I prefer the understated german elegance that the E46 chassis was originally intended to be. and it was before Chris Bangle got a hold of the design department and ruined the look of BMW entirely.... glad he's gone.
