Idea for an updater app

So maybe something exists like this already, in which case I would appreciate a link to said app.

What I'm looking for is a Uniform Updater of some sort. How many times have you awoken to check your Droid/X/etc and seen that you have 12 new updates ready for install? Then you have to spend the next 5 minutes cycling through hitting update and granting permission to each app with an update.

I'm in no way a programmer, but there's got to be a way to create an app that grants updating permission for already installed programs, and then perhaps lets you see the update screens for each after? Basically I want to press one button and have all my apps update at once. I manage my stuff through AppBrain right now, and they are getting there with their updating process, but it's not quite there.

Thoughts?
