icon packs

If I download an icon pack and don't like it, how do I get back to stock? Do I simply uninstall the pack?

I recently experienced the same thing with go launcher, and even though I paid for a couple of apps. I just unistalled go laucher. It does not disappear, but by doing so you get to go back to touch wiz and start from scratch. Personally I like go locker better. Totally cool. But remember nothing is free. So dont believe that crap.

How do I find some icon packs that will work on the stock launcher?

I heard we can change icons without being rooted, is this true?

If so, how do I know which ones work since most are made for aftermarket launchers?

Place icon on a home screen ..Select icon and action you wish to use ...it works great ..

is touchwiz the stock one?

tried it and don't understand it. sorry, it needs to be stupid simple for me when it comes to comp stuff. wish I could press the icon and just change the appearance

Yes TW is the stock launcher and Samsung default...I tested b4 I posted and it's working...Just download DV ...long press from app drawer and place on home screen you want a custom shortcut..pick icon and app action within DV...you can do all the ones you need on screens and when done remove the DV icon one...Let us know how it goes...( you can use ADW icons and plenty of others from the market and various sites...)

HAHA...it's easy ...(not as easy as press icon and edit) but easy....

I recommend Nova launcher anyway that's were you should be ...LOL

I tried, but couldn't figure it out. too many steps to go through. I'm not patient at all with computers so I won't do it if it's not incredibly simple.

But I won't give up on you ..
1. Place icon on homescreen
2. Press icon ..Select from choices [other]
3. Pick icon pack and icon
4. Select app to launch
5 done and on homescreen
