Hi,
so I had my phone charging all night. in the morning, i got my new microsd card in the mail so i took out the battery, removed old card, and inserted the new card. then put everything back together...now my droid 2 wont even turn on. btw it was rooted.

so far i tried:
plugging it to power, nothing. the led doesnt even come on.
plugged it to the computer via usb, nothing
plugged in old sd card, (who knows?), nothing
tried another battery, nothing

seems like its completely bricked, cant even get into clockwork.
last thing i did was putting in angdroid's new ROM, but that was yesterday afternoon..

edit: the only sign of life it has is when i have it plugged onto the computer. every time i pull out the battery and put it back in, windows makes a sound (that it recognizes a usb) and a second later the detaching sound.

would taking it to a verizon store be worth my time?

thanks guys in advance...

are you sure u charged the battery? most people can get the M logo.

make sure ur wall charger is working and let it sit on that for an hr or so.

I dont get the M logo or any LED to turn on. ill try a different outlet. is it still charging if the led next to the usb isnt on?

Did I read correctly that this all started after you removed and replaced the battery? If so, I would remove the battery again and check for it's correct installation, dirty connectors on the battery or the phone and then replace the battery and try everything again. Just a thought. Oh, and another thought, put the old sdcard back in and try that.

Good luck.

yes, it happened after a simple removal and replacement of the battery. ive already cleaned the connections, removed and replaced the battery all morning (also tried with a spare battery), and also inserting original sd card.
I think its the Rom i put in yesterday, its the first time i "hard resetted" since i put it in. would that cause it to complete poop out like this?

well, i took it to a verizon store and they agreed to do a warranty replacement.

appreciate the quick help!

Very doubtful this was a ROM issue...sounds like some HW went bad on your phone, connected w/the display (since you were getting the usb connection sound from your computer. Glad you got it replaced.

does verizon check if it was rooted at the warranty factory?
