Sooo I think I bricked my Droid today or maybe someone can help me fix it before i go to the verizon store? It's stuck at the boot screen.. Motorola logo :/ took the battery out and nothing.. gets stuck in the same spot. It was working fine on 2.0.1 and rooted for the past few days then I was editing a file in the framework-res.apk and I think i mistakenly replaced my phones framework apk with the incomplete one I was working on =[ I rebooted it just a few minutes ago and now this is where I am >_< any suggestions? Fail right?

I can get to the Android system recovery menu and do a factory reset but it will still get stuck at the motorla logo :/

Can you use the 2.0.1 Update.zip and get it back to "stock"??

I was just about to try that right now.. but its doubtful seeing is that its a system file missing >_< ONE tinyyy little png and the world falls apart haha jk my fault anyways. I'll see what happens with the update.zip

so i was to try to system.zip? renaming it to update.zip correct?
i get a signature verification failed error.

i tried it as update.zip im on mac so it wasnt update.zip.zip. thanks but i didnt put the custom recovery on. it was a simple thing i was doing i just happened to drag the wrong file. simple mistake but now im left with a huge problem. hopefully they can either fix it or replace it at the verizon store. it was a .png file i messed with and it was named incorrectly. thanks for the help though

If they replace it, because you bricked it after rooting it, and everyone knows we all pay higher prices because of things like, I can see a lot of folks around here being moderately annoyed.
