I got a SIM card on a HTC working phone... I just bought a Droid 2 Global, I inserted the SIM card that's activated to the Droid 2 Global and when I try to make a phone call it takes me to the Verizon greeting...

My question is, can I just put the Working SIM on the Droid or do I need to call Verizon?

From reading other posts, I believe you have to call Verizon to unlock your sim capabilities. Something about being a customer in good standing for 30 days or more. Once you do that, the sim card should work. Search the threads.

Reply is based on reading other forum posts, not first hand knowledge. Hope it helps.

You can't use a SIM in the US in the D2G because VZW has locked the bands for Domestic US GSM carriers from working in the phone.
You can get the unlock code from VZW for use of foreign SIMs outside the US and they will work fine.
