I need a smarter phone or a bigger bezel...

I love my new Note3 but my big fat fingers (the reason I got this phone) keeps hitting links and stuff when I am just holding the phone... It needs it to recognize that I didnt mean to touch the edge and have it zipping off somewhere that I dont want... and when I hit the home button it goes somewhere right before it goes home because the button is so close to the screen... I love the big screen and I love the size of the phone, but is there anyway that the phone can recognize that I didnt what to touch that (stuff around the edges)...? Anybody else...? :)

Get a case for it. That's probably the only way to fix your issue!

Excellent advice.
The Otterbox Defender on my Note2 not only adds protection it helps my fingers not make as many accidental taps and touches.

Nova Launcher Prime might be worth a go. Aside from being generally smoother / faster than TouchWiz it also allows one to set margins for the top, bottom, left, & right borders of the screen. This should help reduce or eliminate unintended input from touching the edges of the screen. The phone retains all of its native functionality (save for a few of TouchWiz ' widgets) and the customization options allow one to tailor the phones UI to best suit ones own use.
