i just got a droid x

isn't there a built in app (not one you have to download) for the droid X, that will scan price tags at the store? i've looked in apps, i've called the verizon store, I get put on hold (for an hour), oh i'm so frustrated... Can someone please help!!! I was going to download one from the android market icon, however it seems they all want access to personal information! Who do i trust! :/

There is no native app. If you don't feel comfortable allowing an app access to your info then by all means don't get it but be aware its probably not in a sinister way especially if it is a reputable app with a lot of downloads and good ratings.

There is a couple in the market. You do have to download from market. Try savvy barcode scanner or barcode scanner 3.5.
