*to place z4 root on your phone, hook your phone to your computer, scroll the notification bar down and click usb connection, and turn it on. drag the file from your computer to the sd card folder on your phone, turn usb connection off, go to your sd card and click the app and install just like any other app
 
get on ur phone and google z4root and download staright to ur phone its easier that way
 
your not a pain we all had to learn at some point, just take your time in doing things cause the minute you start rushing thats when mistakes happen. Good luck.

It always best to have more than 1 backup file thats just me. . .

yea my whole thing is being able to explore the phone and all it's capabilities. it's good to have you all around and being patient about it. i'm tryin to get it from the xda site but it's not showing it downloading, so i guess i need to find it somewhere else

i got it. now I just installed it.. it's askin for temp root or perm root....

obviously lookin for the NOOB help :D

i'm still a lil worried about it i guess... i'm just followin the steps listed...

btw. aside from the bootstrap, downloading this to my email acct is another thing to do? just to have a few backups justin case
 
Trust me if you follow the instructions step by step you wont go wrong if your unsure about something just ask before you continue. . .

no what you can do is once you have done everything is just copy the whole sdcard to your computer there for you always have a extra copy of your backup and everything thats on it. And when ever you do another backup just update the files that are saved on your pc
