Yeah, that was my understanding... but the worse part of that is the 'first half' of this year comment.... 99% of the time developers are always at the END of whatever estimate they give (i.e. Q1 means March NOT Jan) so this essentially means it will be summer at the earliest... buy that time I doubt we'll even be on 2.1 (likely 2.1.* or 2.2. by then)....

Alright. I'm not crazy. I thought 2.1 was needed

You're right though... usually when a 'time line' for release is given, it's more of a deadline they're trying to hit. Might be earlier, probably later however

? No-one ever said anything about the ROM including OCing). And you will NEVER see a OEM manufacture support/encourage OCing simply because there is the small % of users that will push past the limits (as now) and fry their devices and then try to hold the manufacture responsible because they 'encouraged' or 'allowed' it. That's why rooting your phone is enough grounds (should they find out) to void your warranty.

the 550mhz means nothing and the Droid is equal speed if not better in some cases than the N1.

I just hope the new update (if/when) we get i it has the ability to use/run Java, more home screens and decent "pinch to resize" ability for photos.
