I can't answer calls...

I just received the Kitkat update on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 the other day. Prior to the update, when I got an incoming call I would open my cover and see the caller's name. I could then swipe to answer or switch to speaker or end the call. Now when I open the cover I simply get a black screen. I can't tell who's calling and the only way I can answer the call is if I have my bluetooth earpiece in. Does anyone have an idea how I can fix this?

Thanks.

Have you checked if the notification settings had changed?

It's the original Samsung cover.

If it's still stock, maybe take it to a VZW store to be looked at.

I removed the cover and did a battery pull. It seems to be working now. Thanks for all replies.

Sad to say it's still not right. Worked yesterday, black screen today. :(
