Hyper terminal/serial interface app

So is there an app for interfacing the Droid X or the Droid with something that communicates via a serial cable? I already have a serial to usb adapter but no way to make the devices communicate.

What exactly I want to communicate with is the TurboXS Utec ECU in my car. It uses Hyper terminal to do so and a serial cable.

Anything out there like that?

I don't think you'll able to do it with a serial to usb cable since the droid doesn't support host mode. You can, however, do it with a bluetooth serial adapter.

What about the hptml app?

I can't find an app that emulates hyperterminal. Does anyone know of something similar. I need it for an rs232 conection to remote radio equipment via bluetooth to serial interface coverter. I have a Droid X.
