Hurricane Harvey - Texas

For all of those in the path of Hurricane Harvey, be safe! It looks to be getting much worse then they originally thought a few days ago. We are expected to get 10+ inches of rain up here in Austin over the next few days.

Wow, 10" rain in Austin! And of course I have to have two grandkids visiting family in Houston this week. Hoping it will weaken lots.

last I heard they are talking about 35-40 inches of rain in some places on the Texas coast. that is a lot of water! what is really bad, after it sits over Texas for a few days, it will be moving east to New Orleans area.

I have been so busy at work I had not heard about this until I read the post here. Yikes. Stay safe everyone.

Here's the latest update from this morning. I can't believe the amount of rain the area is going to get!

Just upgraded to a cat 4 hurricane. This is certainly going to cause some serious damage along the coast.

gas prices are already going up in my area because of the storm. I hate to see what it will be next weekend when it is a holiday. so fill up if you need to now.

cat 4 is no laughing matter. I hope everyone who is in a low lying area have left to higher ground. I don't think any city will be safe along the texas coast. be safe if you live there.

Please be safe, everyone. With a category 4, I wish they had made it a mandatory evacuation instead of voluntary. Very thankful my grandkids and family decided to evacuate to New Mexico. DanDroid and anyone else in central Texas, stay home and be safe.
