HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Looked at the app.. didn't show the video.. just gave the audio tracks for the videos.. oh well.. and man 60 MB once you download all the videos that are attached.. I need the TB for more internal memory.. 17th please..

Video works great for me..... Someone will copy it on youtube soon.

Audio only for me do I have to root to see?

Just came from my local VZ store. While I was there contemplating my options (iPhone vs. current Droid vs. waiting for TB) the regional HTC sales rep walk in. He was there to see the VZ employees, but saw me looking at the Incredible and approached me to see if I had questions. I said sure I have a question, "When can I buy a TB?" His response, I can't tell you a date. I asked before March 31st or June (as I've seen rumored elsewhere)? He replied you will be able to buy a TB in March. I hope he's correct, I'm going to wait and buy a phone on the 31st. I hope it's a TB, if it's not in the store, then I'll pick something else.

BAH! 2.2 and up. I got this Eris like a month ago off CraigsList and have not bothered rooting and installing a rom because I thought the TBolt was gonna be here soon. 2.1 screws me again. :icon_evil:

Doh.. Sorry.. just got the app and loading 1 of 7 videos ATM.. running CM7 Honeybread.. just root and flash a 2.2 real quick.. easy for Eris right? Not sure since I am on D1..

I just rooted it and download KaosFroyo and installed. Rebooting now.

Is there a way to root for people that arnt so good with a phone? Like a one touch type while I wait for the tb?

Really hope after all that the video works for you.. I am running 2.3 and got audio but no video.. but like said a few posts back.. I agree that you tube of it will happen and well seeing the video atm might just feed my hyperbeast..

You don't need root.. you just need 2.2 to find in market and I am in your boat with no video on the OG Droid.. at least I am assuming by your signature you are on the D1.. I am rooted with 2.3 and still get no video..

You don't need root.. you just need 2.2 to find in market and I am in your boat with no video on the OG Droid.. at least I am assuming by your signature you are on the D1.. I am rooted with 2.3 and still get no video..

Mountain of salt...That facebook page was debunked, and BGR has claimed like 2 or 3 dates that were wrong already

what facebook page, it doesn't mention a facebook page at all. That post is literally 15 minutes old.

That said, it does say these two tips they have fall in line with the dates earlier. Just b/c they were debunked as fake or something doesn't necessarily mean the date isn't the correct date.

While I'd love to see this come sooner rather than later, I'm more interested in them just announcing the planned date so we can stop wondering. I'd rather there be VZW supported dates, and have them change if needed, than no VZW dates at all.

If the issues were resolved already, don't you think they would make it public? Makes me think they are still working on it.

Droid-life just tweeted they heard the same thing, 3/21. For whatever that's worth. Very little at this point.

This release has made a lot of people (including myself) pretty pessimistic. We're said that one thing or another "doesn't necessarily mean the date isn't the correct date." about 6 or 7 times now. I would love for something like to be true, I'm just saying we've heard it before.
