You want it now but what happens when u go to make a data call and ur device resets because the network isn't tuned to handle the stress??

Can't predict something that wasnt yours to call. Said march an NO one wanted to listen to me. Pushing up device launch for hype. Not smart

This thunderbolt mess has truly reached the level of ****storm that can only be attributed to how "sources" really don't know a damn thing

I have watched the entire Daytona 500 (not done yet) and not one Verizon commercial. I have seen every Sprint and AT&T commercial pushing thier new 4g phones. Its sickening.

I haven't been watching, but I didn't believe Miami for a second when he hinted that there would be a release date in a commercial during the 500. The first place you will hear of a release date is through a press release from VZW. Because the launch is so high-profile and access to this information could be considered "material, non-public information" it must be released widely through a press release, per SEC rules. A single commercial during the 500 would not qualify. Since a press release has not been issued, and will likely not be issued on a Sunday, I doubt any commercial today will say anything except "coming soon".

Just my two-cents.

if there are a ton of bugs at launch, can those be fixed through updates (like video games) or would it be wise to wait like a month after the release (even though i dont want to lol)

ummm, interesting, maybe I should wait on this phone then in case if they're a ton of bugs

I don't think he is referring to bugs in the phone, he is referring to the LTE network itself not being ready for all the simultaneous stress it will receive once the TB is released. Those BMX tweets are not good news at all, looks like early March could be back on the table now (or I guess technically it never left)? Even the 24th is looking more grim now with all the reports of the 28th being the date now. I'll be happy as long as its still in Feb.

If I was a betting man, 2/24/11 would be the date I'd go all in on. 14 days past the iPhone release, AND the fact that it was advertised for sale in this weeks(2/20-2/26) BB circular. Yeah, 24th fits pretty well.

yeah i dont care in terms of the date, i just want it this month. BB and VZW seem to be corresponding for once on 2-28. first time either of them gave me a solid answer.

"It's not your dream phone, it's the nightmare before that."

THIS.

There's not really any reason to wait. It's not like the Atrix where there's lots of new hardware components, screen resolution, and somewhat weird overpriced features that will probably make the phone buggy/laggy. There may be some minor bugs on the Thunderbolt, sure, but they will be patched and it's Verizon we're talking about here. If the software update fiascos have taught us anything, it's that Verizon tests the crap out of everything before they release it to the general public.

It will come out when it comes out. I don't get the anger towards HTC/Verizon.

Its not like they sold you the phone already and said "wait a month" for service... I mean seriously, if having to wait makes you consider other options, what do you do for going out to eat?

If Bonefish has a line, do you cancel dinner plans and go to McDonalds?????
