HTC Thunderbolt Release Date

Just got back from my local bb, he said they didn't even have the shipment in the store yet. And "sorry" for the wrong ad. No xoom either.

Really? Look at a calender. The last week of February starts on Sunday the 27th my friend. There are two days left in the month, so in my eye, thats the last week of February. Am I wrong?

Mobile manager at bb and vzw manager both corresponded on the 28th with me today. Seems more likely.

My bb just called me and said the phone has been delayed which of course I knew that cause of this forum, and that they have no idea when it's coming out, she used the word delayed for awhile. So this all is just one big cluster f, and I am sick of verizon not giving a date, at least give a date yuh know and if they can't make that date then delay it. But not saying anything just makes it worse. So I just can't understand how bb knows all this info, then some have no clue.

So VZW said Q1, has not told any lies, has not missed any dates, not disappointed anyone. BB has publicized various dates in order to do pre-orders, all of which have failed. And you are "sick of verizon". You'd rather have them give a date and miss it then then not give a date until they can give a date they can meet? :huh:

I see what you are saying man...the 21st is the technically the last full week of February...jeeze EVERYTHING involving the Thunderbolt is just complicated!! LOL

Believe me, I'd like it to be the 24th and NOT the 28th, for sure.

Getting excited for the 24th is fruitless. At best VZW can announce the release tomorrow (3 days before the 24th). Only once has VZW released an android like this without at least a week of notice. And that once was the droid 2. The Bolt is basically the flagship for the LTE network, why wouldn't VZW announce the heck out of it.

Lets face it, Verizon is driving this train wreck. BB cannot advertize some thing of Verizon's without their approval. BB is Verizon's agents (employees) because they sell Verizon products and renew Verizon contracts so when it come to the sale of cell phones so BB and Verizon are hand in hand. These tactics of Verizon...... staying quiet about stuff, show the picture, release the specs, etc............ is the Verizon of old that was more concerned about getting new customers and to hell with thier faithful customers. So Verizon is allowing BB to take the heat over this release date bs. My complaint is that Verizon has "leaked" and outright shown this phone, they know the demand is great for this phone, yet they sit on it. No words of why or when they will release just keep dangling the carrot and let BB take all the heat. Time we start putting our anger and displeasure where it belongs...... in Verizon's lap. Verizon really needs to step up and open their mouths.... But knowing Verizon they won't .

At this point will I still get the TB....... I don't know. If I have to continue to wait, there are some pretty impressive phones yet to come and I may have to think about which phone I will get or if I will get one.

Vzw rep also said the date has been pushed beyond 2-24 for stocking reasons. Bb rep said because less people go to them than vzw, they may actually have it first. All speculatory, of course.

I have watched the entire Daytona 500 (not done yet) and not one Verizon commercial. I have seen every Sprint and AT&T commercial pushing thier new 4g phones. Its sickening.
