If they give away free mobile hotspot, I'll be shocked if it's anything more than a 1-2 month trial.
And I expect with LTE speeds, between root and pdanet that a lot more people will be doing a lot more tethering, which likely will get the attention of VZW. But if their answer is just to throttle the heaviest users that seems perfectly fair. Otherwise, I'd hate to be someone they choose to make an example of.

Ha, Viper, I remember you from that thread! It actually was the "Gorgeous, mysterious, EVO-ish HTC device headed for Verizon" thread...
My eris died out of warranty before a business trip Feb 1, so now I have an Incredible with CM7 nightlies rockin' out...
The DInc is completely amazing compared to the retardation of the Eris, BUT I feel so invested in the TB now... Has it really been almost 4 months since that thread? Who cares about money, I spent my LIFE on this silly device.
That said, I'm in a pinch.. My last day to return the DInc is the 14th.
hmy:Now I have to pray it comes that day, or I have to suck it up and find a dumbphone on craigslist to use for 10 days. I feel like such a tool whining about that, but jeez.

Sell the DInc on the Bay for $200 and offset the cost of additional line with no restock fee.... dancedroid

Went around to all of me vzw stores in the area and without hesitation all five of the five store managers when asked when they would have the TB said "Sometime next week"

at this point, if we can get it before the date strikes 3/1/11 ill be content.. however if they push it beyond that i may have to force myself to wait for the bionic depending what we find out MWC (is that right?) i just really dont get why it only has 512 RAM.. ok ok back on topic...
Im really stoked to try out that 2nd gen processor and that big screen, love my roomates DX screen droid feels so tiny after... its a shame it will only be 1 GHZ when the droid inc hd was going to be 1.2GHZ (per Miami) i dont get why they did that unless it was apart of the problem in scrapping the INc HD..
Cool thing is ill be using my grandma's upgrade and still have one eligible on my own account (got droid on 11/6/09) and since she is the only one on her account and got a flip phone like 5 years ago means ill get a TB for $150 with her NE2
BTW a vzn rep actually explained to me in detail how to do this with her account (not saying its hard) but he didnt care lol
