HTC Quick Record Widget

I did a hard factory reset because my phone is acting nuts and I figured this would be a good way to take care of it. This is the 2nd one I've done... argh. I really need to root this thing.

Anyway, HTC Quick Recorder was a widget I could use one handed and it was awesome tor taking verbal notes. It will not download anymore!!! It will show a download bar on my phone. However, once it completes itself, it does not install does not show in the Widget List but it will let me download it again in a loop that goes nowhere. Any recommendations/similar issues?

I am having the same problem with my Thunderbolt, for me it is the tasks widget. I cant find anything about it either.
