HTC ONE....No Media Found

I just got this HTC One and it was working great for a week now all of the sudden when I go to tap on a picture that is sent to me through text messaging the screen goes black and says no media found if I long press the picture it gives me the option of save or view can't figure out what happened...if I press Save it goes to my gallery if I press View it does the same thing the screen goes black and says no media found

My girlfriend who is a tech at Verizon told me to do a master reset..I really don't want to do that..
