Hungry for more details on the HTC M7? That's precisely what we've got for you this afternoon, as a new report from HTC Source claims to have a few more tidbits of information on the unannounced device. A "trusted source" has told the site that M7 is currently running Android 4.1.2 beneath a new version of Sense, rumored to be version 5.0, that features a "simple and clean" look. One of the features of this new Sense is said to be on-screen volume controls, including a shortcut that'll send the user directly to a volume settings page. The lock screen and HTC's own apps have reportedly also been overhauled in this new Sense. One software feature that the source claims won't be on the M7, though, is on-screen navigation keys.

Moving on to the hardware, we're told to expect a bit of a DROID DNA-like look that includes a black body and beveled edge along the phone's display that's described as "very nice." Previous rumors have claimed that the screen on the M7 will be a 4.7-inch 1080p affair. Reportedly buried inside the M7's body will be a quad-core processor, 32GB storage 13-megapixel camer and 4G LTE connectivity.HTC M7 Release Date at the Consumer Electronics Show(CES) 2013 slated to take place from January 8 to January 11 in Las Vegas.

If all of that sounds right up your alley, you'll be glad to hear that it may not be long before you've got an M7 to call your very own. HTC Source's tipster alleges that the handset is due to arrive sometime in the first quarter of this year, and while testing for the M7 is said to be currently taking place on Sprint, previous reports have claimed that Verizon and possibly others could also get the M7. It's certainly been a while since Sprint has released a new high-end HTC handset, but if the M7's rumored specs hold true, the long wait may be worth it. Anyone's interest piqued by the M7 based on the rumors surrounding it so far?
