I may pre-order HTC Droid sometime next week but if I do will that mean I ge a ship date of June 1-6th?

If you go through a Verizon store chances are you will be getting your phone around that time frame.

If you don't need to, I suggest searching Best Buy online and using their store locator - several Best Buys have them in stock.
