How to video capture?

Im trying to make some tutorials for my friends and family to answer some pretty basic how to questions and would like to video-capture the activity on the S4 screen as Im using it to give a better visusal explanation. I purchased the adapter needed to do HDMI output. Works great. Then I purchased the Roxio game capture hd pro, but it kept coming up as "Protected Signal" when I plug it in using HDMI (I returned this item). Is there a different Video Capture Device thats proven to work with the S4 and Galaxy Note 8.0? Is there maybe any method or additional adapter I can purchase to fix this? I really need some help. Ive been on this hunt for a few months now.

According to this one reviewer, there's nothing out there that can do it - yet. If I HAD to do one, I'd put my Nikon D5200 to work. It's video is HD.

FYI, you will need to root your S4 to use the Screencast app
