how to update from Apex 1.0 (30.01 BL) to 340

I have never done any OTA updates since I got my phone. Right now, I am running Apex 1.0 on the 2.3.15 release. I get the message for updating, but it doesn't update, as expected.

There's a lot of similar questions, but I'm confused as hell when it comes to the bootloader madness. Since I'm running 30.01, what are my options? SBF to 2.1 and update from there? Will re-installing all the BLUR removed from Apex do the trick?

I was on 30.01 until yesterday. As far as I know you have to 2.1 sbf then pull the ota. I went from 2.1 after the sbf right to 2.3.34 with no problem at all. The whole process took less than 30 min. Once the ota is done just follow the instructions for the newest version of apex.

Good place to start if you are unfamiliar with the sbf process.

Make sure you have the correct sbf file before you do anything...best to do as much research as possible until you feel comfortable with what you are doing.

i was in your exact situation. on bl 30.01 and ended up having to exchange my phone. i was screwed.
