There are very few of you out there that actually have an LG G4 in hand. LG has shipped out a few thousand of the G4 preview units, and If you were lucky enough to get one you may be interested in unlocking the bootloader. The method for doing this is actually incredibly easy. Keep in mind that this will probably not work on carrier versions like Verizon and AT&T once they arrive, but if you end up getting a carrier unlocked version or a Tmobile version this may still work.
To Unlock the Bootloader:
- Enable Developer Settings (Click the build number 5 times in the software info in the settings)
- Go to the Settings and click the developer settings tab and Enable OEM unlock
- Once you have clicked on Enable OEM Unlock it will prompt you that your device protection features will not work while enabled
- Click Yes and Reboot the phone
- Enjoy your OEM unlocked phone
